[There's a drop in Dick's stomach that wraps around other things inside him. He can feel the walls as they go up. Dick closes his eyes and steals himself against what's happening. He'd expected it earlier, but it's okay. They made it as far as they could.

Laying there still naked in bed, Dick nods and watches as Bruce gets dressed. Dick takes a sip of the drink he brought back and watches all the perfect skin that he's marked and run his fingers over get covered inch by inch. They're done, just like that. Their little affair ended with a shower that Dick didn't even see coming.

Dick would have taken one more hug, one more press of their bodies together if he'd realized that had been it. ]
