( silence often comes with bruce. but this sort of silence is different. it's soft and gentle and intimate in ways he doesn't often allow with others, including himself. he needs it. just for a bit. to let himself sink into it and feel it for all that it is.

to say he thought this was where the day would end up when he agreed to stay longer than the night... it's a little surprising. dick, himself, is surprising to him and yet he can't entirely pull himself away from the other man. even if some part of him believes he should. it should be worrying that he can't. but some part of him wants to try. wants to see. wants to feel all this just a little more because of how starved he is for it deep down. so much so that it seems he's been in denial about it. will still be in denial. for as long as he can and simply hold softly to these moments he finds.
