( they're back here again. dick's bed. something that the other man will have to, yet again, change in terms of the sheets and bruce can't help but almost feel a touch bad for that. how many more times is this man going to have to do such a thing while he's here? better yet, how many spare sheets does he have to change the bed? time might tell, though it's not as if he's setting a personal goal to find out there.

not today at least.

he's pulled in and he follows without hesitation. lips seeking out dick's for a kiss that soon breaks. lips roam as freely as hands do over warm, naked skin, and bruce watches between them as it all happens. watches the way dick so eagerly lets himself fall into this all over again. there's a sort of desperation still there between them, but not as clunky as it had been the first time around. this time, they're a little more familiar with each other. this time, it's a little more intimate than hot with desire. that still exists. of course it does. just not as focused this time. at least on bruce's end.

lips press an open-mouthed kiss to the curve of dick's neck and he lifts his head then, strands of hair falling in front of his face as he does. blue eyes peeking through them. )

( right here in this very moment. he can't promise him always. can't even reassure him of that. bruce has a love affair with gotham that's difficult to break, even now, so early on in his career, but. he can give him this. he can be here, right now. it's more than he's given anyone in a long time. )
