I thought I could be a hero. I certainly wanted to be. But after a couple of years it just wore me down. What I do now, sometimes it feels so unimportant, but I tell myself it’s still a life of service and it’s still helping people. Just in a smaller quieter way. Because you don’t have to worry about paperwork.
