[The serious between them isn't something they've done when things are going well before, but this is important, and Dick wants to make sure that Jason knows that it is. He can be really bad at this type of thing, but this time he wants to get it all right for once.

Bringing his fingers up to Jason's cheek, Dick brushes over it softly, trying to let him know that there's nothing to be self-conscious about. They're on even ground here. Dick's had relationships, but they've obviously all failed for one reason or another. Dove is very obviously with Hank and not Dick. He's not great with standing his ground, and not running from things.

There are things he hasn't told everyone, and eventually he'll have to tell Jason if they're going to have an open and honest relationship, which is something that Dick wants more than anything. It's a weight that's already pressing on him here in this little nest of safety they have between them. ]
