[It's weird to realize that it was the truth. They'd both been through so much, and he knows that after his death and after finding Jason, that the scariest thing to him was losing Jason, even if it was only to another apartment. Dick had begun to rely on Jason's body in his bed, and being able to roll over at any time of the night to kiss him.

Dick had begun to count on the sound of Jason's heart under his ear when he needed it. They got hurt, he could handle that. They were very different people at times and Dick knew that too. Yet, more than anything he loved Jason unconditionally, and didn't want to lose him. It did something strange to him. It changed a fundamental part of him somewhere, and he was alright with that now. It took a while to figure out and accept. Dick accepted fear back in his life when he accepted a true love like this.

Running his hand along Jason's back, along his skin, Dick sighs against his boyfriend's mouth and smiles, kissing him with everything that he has inside him. They know one another, they know how to kiss to rob one another of breath. They're good at being together now. Moving in is only a further extension of that. ]

I know that being together like this has changed us both some, but I want you to know that I'm happy about being better for you. I am happy that you are with me, and that I love you. I used to think that my life was about so many other things, but I know now, what I want my future to look like.
