( for as detached as bruce can sometimes come off, he actually cares so very deeply to the point that he ends up self-sabotaging as a means to protect it. it's not healthy — so much of him and his life isn't healthy. but it's how he copes. even if it ends up doing more harm than good in the long run. dick's died once already. come back from it, but. that's not to say it'll happen again. that he'll come back if he dies again.
