Emotions had never been easy for Dick, and speaking so plainly was entirely new for him. Telling Tim how he felt up front had taken a lot, and the collaring ceremony was remarkably intense. It only moved to figure that Tim might also be exhausted from it. It felt good, right, and Dick liked the soft way Tim sat in his embrace.

The fact that he was tired and so comfortable meant that he genuinely did trust Dick utterly and completely. Dick leaned in and kissed Tim's temple. If the other had been slightly lighter or less tall, he might have been able to pick him up and, with a few adjustments, carry him to the bedroom. Dick might still be able to handle it in certain situations, but with someone so tired, it was probably best that they take the short sleepy walk.

"Come with me. It's a short distance. We'll sleep. I don't mind." Pulling Tim to the bedroom, he yanked down the covers and pulled off most of Tim's clothes. They had no reason to sleep in anything. He left his boxer briefs on. That would be up to Tim to keep on or take off. Dick crawled in naked and opened up his arms for Tim to gather near. "Come, my dear one, come lay near me and rest. I will be here and watch over you. "
