he knows he's difficult — knows he puts those who care about him through the ringer at times. alfred certainly has had more than his fair share of probably wanting to rip his hair out when dealing with him. yet he stays around. for some reason. love, he assumes. love for a boy he raised and sees as his own in ways.

being so close to dick as he currently is, blue eyes gently fall shut and he stands there with him. just breathing. just taking in this moment as he's been doing over the course of the night. taking in the smell and presence of the other man. )

I wouldn't blame you if you did though.
