[There's a smile on Dick's lips at Jason's words. There are times when Jason's so full of wonder and awe at the things going on between them that Dick feels older than he is, or maybe it feels more like Jason is younger than he is. It's what he sees in Jason's zeal for life too.

Dick knows it's there because of the way Jason grew up. There was no childhood, and so a part of him turns to innocence in times when he allows himself this brief vulnerability, and Dick falls for Jason harder and cherishes these simple moments even more. ]

You can believe it. I'm the real thing, and I'm not going to vanish in a puff of smoke and you're not going to wake up from a dream.

[He caresses the side of Jason's cheek, and takes a few more soft kisses. Maybe Dick doesn't get it completely, but he doesn't have to really. He only knows that he could sit here for most the night going back and forth talking about how real this is, and how much he truly does feel. It's good practice, and the more he says it, he greater the impression on his heart.

This time he kisses the side of Jason's neck a few times. He knows it's sensitive, but he loves it when Jason's lashes flutter close and he sighs. They're soft and easy, and Dick sighs as well completely content with their circumstance.]

[ maybe Dick understands Jason more than anyone ever has, or has taken the time to, because that's really all it is. there's that awe and wonderment because he's never had it before. he's hard in so many ways, but soft in the ways he's never had before.

the parts of him that are younger are so new, but with Dick he gets a chance to experience it. it's nice.

his features are soft now, face leaning into Dick's touch as he smiles.]

The real thing, huh. That's all I've ever wanted.

[he says softly as Dick kisses his neck. his lashes flutter closed and he sighs, arms tightening around the older man to pull him closer. god, it's good. he tilts his head after a moment to capture Dick's lips in another kiss.]

[leaning into the kiss, Dick feels life slow down to this pinprick of a moment. There's nothing here in the room beyond them, beyond the feel of their lips meeting. The kiss is everything any person could ever want. Jason's lips are soft and giving, and his mouth is open and pliant.

Dick slips his hand beneath the base of Jason's shirt and runs it along the warmth of his skin. When the kiss breaks, he runs his cheek along the younger male's like a cat would if they were marking something with their scent. ]

You know, that's all I've ever wanted too. I've never felt so much for anyone. You are so different, and wonderful.

[ Jason loves these moments more than anything. when everything seems to slow down around them and all the outside world seems to fade away, just for a little bit. he kisses Dick soft, but deep. his favorite kinds of kisses.

sitting sideways on Dick's lap like this it's harder to touch him all over, but when Dick's hand slides just under his shirt to run along his skin, Jason does the same. he likes feeling Dick under his fingers, too.

there's a smile on his face when Dick's cheek rubs against his, and he has to turn his head a little to capture his lips in another soft kiss before pulling back again. ]

That's how I feel about you too. Thanks for telling me.

[Maybe that's a part of why Dick loves the fact that they decided to sleep together each night, because they can lay there in bed half naked, touching skin to skin, holding one another and kiss a few times before drifting off to sleep. Dick has never slept great, but he does better now, so much better.

Now that he's got a place for them to run off to swim, he can focus on this energy. The way Jason's sitting is a little awkward, but it does let dick lift him up and carry him bridal style to what he considers their bed now. He pulls off his shirt and lays down next to Jason on the bed, curling up next him. ]

I never knew I could fall for someone like this. I keep thinking that I should have known all along, and realized all this earlier. I'm always wondering what it would be like now if I would have.
