(Clark didn't ache like most people did - but that didn't mean that he didn't appreciate the care and gentleness that Dick showed him as the massage continued. And - to be completely honest - it did help him relax some. Edits were sometimes more difficult than any other part of the writing process, and sometimes the Planet's editors were harsh with their criticism. It was for the best, he knew, but not any less frustrating.
He did want to be good and follow Dick's instructions, but it was also very difficult to concentrate on anything other than him. Especially those kisses. The quicker he got done with his edits, the quicker he could focus on Dick instead. And that was a goal he could absolutely work toward.)
I know, I know. And believe me, I want nothing more than pamper you some, too, because I love you and you deserve to relax, too.
[It wasn't lost that Dick was working on Superman, who probably didn't get foot cramps like Dick did, but there was something to be said for being able to pamper the person he loved in a way that many didn't think of. Working the oil through the foot and up and into the toes, Dick tries his best not to give in and suck on any toe that he thinks is particularly cute. He might tug on one with his mouth, but that's it. ]

[When Dick gets to the second foot, it smells like peppermint under the desk. The first foot is clean, dried, and the moisturizer is all rubbed in. He works as dutifully on the second foot as he does on the first. This time, he works up Clark's thigh when he finishes, carefully letting his fingers enjoy the perfection of muscles that had been created when Clark's alien body was. It's amazing that this man loves him and is somehow his boyfriend, but there's nothing anywhere that he'd give it up for. ]
